May 2011: Joan is 9 years old and wants to be a teacher when she grows up. She loves to play netball and her favourite food is rice. She speaks Luganda and basic English. She lives with her grandmother as her mom and dad are in the village. She has 3 sisters and 1 brother. This month Joan was given medication for de-worming, and she was able to take part in a fun field trip to Wonder World, an amusement park!
